oh god!!!

Well, today was my first attempt to go anywhere by myself with the two kiddos...and I would have to say that I was unsuccessful! I was so excited to be able to try out my new double stroller...dang that thing is heavy!! Anyways, made it to the mall and as soon as I stepped into the mall, the first thing that Carson says is...Eat, I want to eat!! Thinking that food would keep him occupied for a bit, I went and got him something. Occupied him for 15 min and then he was all about trying to get out of the stroller. Argghh...so, that was it for the mall and came straight home. Got nervous because about 5 min from the house carson tells me he needs to pee pee...of course I hit the red lights!!! But Carson was a big boy and waited till we got the house to use the restroom. Carson, Chad and I ate lunch together and then we put him down for his nap. 2 hours later I am suprised by chad opening Carson's door to his room and chad saying..OH GOD!!! I rush to the scene and the urge to vomit hit me ! He had taken off his diaper and there was a line of poop all the way from his bed to his door along with a chair he had pulled up to his drawers which held his wipes...being my clean freak boy, he at least wiped himself.

Today is grandparents day...Carson has spent the last month right by his pou-pou's side. Everytime I tell him that she is going to leave soon , he busts out in tears and runs to the door!

Today we made a banana nut bread for her. As we were eatting it, Carson said "delicious"!!! It took me by suprise and it just tickled me to hear him say that.lol. boy, the things that carson picks up. But he sure does know how to make his mommy feel good!!

Katie is getting bigger and bigger every day. She is sleeping well thru the night. Her hair is so cute...its so puffy on top. It reminds me of trina's pictures when she was a baby.

such a great big brother

I couldnt ask for a better big brother for katie, carson dotes on her so much and always wants to kiss and hug her. Yesterday when I was feeding Katie, Carson climbs up on the bed with me, sits down in front of me and takes off his shirts and points to his boobie and says he wants to feed baby Katie. I thought that was the cutest thing. Carson has been enjoying the break from school, however...we are planning to stick him back in school when my mom leaves. Carson is sure going to miss my mom...they have been pretty much inseparable since she's been here. He has even started calling her mommy too. lol.

Katie has been staying awake a little more lately, although she does still sleep for the majority of the time. She grunts a lot when she is sleeping, not sure what causes that. But it sure does get loud. Aunt Tammy, aunt stephanie, brigitte and collin came to visit carson and katie...boy are those kids growing up so quickly!! Carson loved playing with brigitte...collin is still a little young for carson to be playing so rough with, but I say give it a few more months and they will all be playing rough together!

Christine and Eric are going on an alaskan cruise this coming week, they will be gone for 2 weeks- trina will be joining them as well. We are sure going to miss seeing them for those 2 weeks! I am sure they will have loads of fun!!

another year older!!

Well, another year has past...and I am another year older. I cant believe that I now have 2 children!!! The family came over yesterday to celebrate my birthday and chad made such a good brisket!! I actually dont feel older this year, for once!! I think 33 isnt so bad after all! Dad and Mom are here helping with the baby and carson...thank goodness for that, although I think dad is leaving tomorrow to go back to shreveport. Trina should be coming back to dallas soon, cant wait for her to be back in the big D and I will get to spend more time with her. I cant believe its already been 2 weeks since I have had katie..time is flying like crazy. We took our newborn pictures yesterday..I hope we get some good shots, carson was not cooperating at all...AT ALL!!! Carson was so excited that it was my birthday yesterday...he got to sing happy birthday and blow out the candles...and we even ate another birthday cake today and he got to relive the dream! :P

That was the best birthday present of all...him singing to me!! My precious boy is growing up so fast...he has really started to talk a lot since mom has been here. I think its because she is always doing things one to one with him. Wish my parents lived here!!!

Wow...it seems like time has been passing by so quickly, Its hard to think that Katie will be 2 weeks old on sunday, and I will be another year older on sunday as well...33- wow, I cant believe it! Katie looks like she has been growing so fast, she looks so tall and her little face is getting rounder. Last night she kept us up all night, hopefully she will sleep well tonight. Mom has been keeping carson busy or shall I say that Carson has been keeping mom busy!!! My mom has been trying to potty train carson while she is here...and today was the first time that Carson poo pooed in the potty all by himself! WOW what an accomplishment...what can I say, its the little things that get us excited!! Carson is still loving on Katie, he kisses her head, eyes, mouth and little feet, its so cute to watch! He wants to hold her all the time.

Carson started gymboree while he is out of school for a month - he went with christine and my mom and they said he loved it!! He is FEARLESS!!! He has been enjoying walks with his grandma!! (by the way...my mom has officially changed her name from pou pou to grandma!!)

Well,

Chad and i were getting everything ready for lil kate's arrival on august 18th, but she had her own plans. On sunday august 15th, my water broke. It was kind of surreal - I wasnt even sure if that was what happened...the first time was like a little squirt, I laid back down and 10 minutes later it happened again..went to wake up chad and he told me to go back to sleep. But he finally woke up and then my water started to stream down my leg and then chad started to get nervous. We didnt know what to do, chad was on the computer googling on what we were supposed to do. It was 2 am...and we started calling amy, mom, trina, and finally david torres to come and stay with carson while we went to the hospital. thank goodness david came over. We got to the hospital, i kept leaking which was a little embarrassing. They admitted me to the hospital and verified that my water did in fact break and i was dilated 1 cm.

I was supposed was to have my c section at 730am but didnt actually have my c section until 9ish. by that time i was definitely feeling the contractions and they were getting pretty strong. But at 939am , lil Kate was born. Healthy and perfect!! weighing 7lbs 8 oz and 18 and 1/2 inches long!

Mom and Dad came as soon as they could, Diana was in london and christine was in arneville. Trina came in on wednesday. Carson welcomed the arrival of Kate, at first he didnt know what to think but now he just loves her so much.

First Circus for Carson
Well this weekend was packed with fun activities!!! Carson went to his first circus ever and he was in heaven...his aunt christine bought him one of those lights that spin around, he got to eat lots of cotton candy and he got to see tigers and elephants and lots of clowns!!

He seemed to really be getting into the whole thing..he would clap his hands and dance when the music came on. it was so cute! Chad had fun too...he thought he had never been to the circus, but his mother informed me he just forgot. But chad and carson had an enjoyable time as did christine and myself.

Today we went to hawaiian falls...we met up with the szeto family and eric and his mother and nieces and nephews came out there as well. It was really fun and relaxing. Carson loves loves loves the water, he slid down the slides by himself and you could just see he was so content!

Sunny day..everything's A-Ok!!!

We got there when it opened and I rushed to find shade...thank goodness I did. It was 105 degrees. although it didnt feel that hot at all. the wind was blowing slightly which was a nice change. carson and i left around 2 pm...we passed out in the car within 5 minutes. Chad and his brother and eric's family stayed a little longer. I cant believe that I actually went out in public in my bathing suit when I only have 2 more weeks left to go. Yep...no pictures though! :P

But I just want to spend as much time as I can with carson and chad before Kate gets here. Carson is doing really well with going to the potty...he actually told chad he needed to go during the circus and earlier in the week I went upstairs to get his clothes for school and when I came back down he had taken off his shorts and diaper and had gone all by himself. Hopefully we can get him totally potty trained while my mom is here after I deliver the baby!
