Happy Birthday to you Carson!!

Carson celebrated his birthday last weekend...he turned 3! It seems so surreal that he is 3 already. He had a blast at his birthday party at going bonkers in lewisville. Pou pou and papa came in for his birthday and he had lots of guests...he was so lucky that my nin-nin was able to celebrate with him. Of course the whole family was there..its always so nice to come from such a big family! He got lots of great gifts and by the time night had come, he was POOPED!!

Well, Chad had to work this weekend and so far..Trina has always been with me to take the kids out on the weekends chad has to work. However, Trina left for Syracuse,NY and therefore would not be joining us for our all important "family days". I had wanted to take the kids to an easter egg hunt in grapevine and then to Neiman downtown Dallas. I had it all planned in my head and had the diaper bags stuffed with snacks for the both of them. Carson and Katie did really well..I couldnt have asked for Carson to behave any better than he did! But boy...was I beat after all was said and done! Carson had a great time at the easter egg hunt, but he kept waiting for me so all the other kids picked up the eggs..I think he got a total of 3 eggs. Maybe better luck next time. But, he was still happy - they had candy in them so he was all smiles! Katie celebrated her 8 month birthday friday...I cant believe time has flown by so fast..8 MONTHS !! WOW !!

8 months old!

I just stopped pumping this past week, I cant believe I lasted so long. She is getting around pretty good now, she just learned how to crawl on all fours and she can pull herself up to stand in the crib or on the toys. She still doesnt have any teeth, but I am sure they will come in any day now.

SPRINGTIME IS HERE!!!

Awww...SPRING is here. The weather was so nice outside today. We decided to go to the dallas arboreteum, and it couldnt have been a more beautiful day to go.

It always feels like a mini getaway when we go...who would have thought that the arboreteum would be smack in the middle of dallas! And of course, the whole idea of a picnic is so relaxing! The tulips were definitely in bloom. We were lucky and had the pleasure of Aunt Trina and Aunt Stephanie and Jayson coming with us to the arboreteum. Boy will we miss Trina when she leaves in a few weeks. Its hard to believe that she has been here for 6 months!

Carson is so good with Katie...and boy am I glad. Carson and Katie have gotten to the age where I can put them down and they will play next to each other. Or at least Carson will play with her and keep her occupied for a while.

well, Carson was dressed in his eligible bachelor shirt, hair fixed and presents in hand to go to his valentine's day party. nin-nin and titi went to carson's valentine's day party and had a good time. Carson didnt want them to leave, so Carson got to leave school early! He spent the night with his cousin trent and nin-nin. The WHOLE night.

He did good - we didnt get any calls in the middle of the night to pick him up. But boy, was he having a hard time recuperating the next day. His Nin-nin spoiled him while he was over there...staying up till 1130pm, eatting"BIG" cookies, and riding on the bus with his cousin trent. He was in heaven!!

Katie is really getting big, she goes in for her 6 month baby visit this week. Can you believe it...6 MONTHS already!!! SHe is sitting up by herself, and rolling everywhere to get where she wants to go. She is a pro at eatting rice cereal, I think I will start making her vegetables this week. Carson is talking up a storm now..I am amazed about some of the words he knows..like the other day we passed a radio station and he said mommy..there is a tower. Yep...it was a radio tower. I was pretty impressed. Carson is a big help with Katie..he still helps put her pacifier in her mouth when she spits it out, he reads to her, sings to her, and today he kept wanting to hold her. She is catching up to him as far as weight goes...she's got the cutest thunder thighs ever!!

Talk about COLD!! The high is 16 degrees with wind chills in the negatives. Schools have been closed for the most part of last week as well as today. We did get to go out and play for a little while. Katie made her first snow angel..but we went back inside after that. Carson and Chad stayed outside and played in the snow for about an hour. Carson had soo much fun. Katie is getting so big...I cant believe she will be 6 months in a week. Where does the time do??!! She is rolling over and sitting up by herself. She's gotten the concept of eatting rice cereal down and is on her way to being bigger and stronger than carson.

The superbowl was this past Sunday. We went over to Diana's house to watch it. Although my team didnt win, it was a good game to watch While we were over at diana's house, carson was playing under the table by himself and then all of a sudden Sean's dog ran under the table and bit carson on the nose. Wow, it was a little traumatic for carson. But he is doing well now.

I have fallen off the wagon with exercising every day with the kids being out of school..I hope that in a little bit things will settle down and I can pick back up with my training!

Superbowl time!!

Going back to Nature at the heard museum

Sunday is superbowl...we went to the NFL experience yesterday and got to see the Lombardi trophy. Of course it was at a distance...but still it was really neat to see what it was all about.

The superbowl is going to be in arlington!

. Carson didnt know that the dinosaurs moved and made noise...so the first dinosaur scared him so much that he jumped. It was pretty funny. After that, he was excited to see all the different dinosaurs!

He is SOO like his daddy and playing the poor helpless act...so pitiful. He even has the face expressions down. I feel soo sorry for his future wife. :P Katie is getting so big. She rolled over from her back to her stomach and likes to push herself up on her hands. She is doing really well sleeping at night in her own room. We started feeding her cereal both morning and night and I think that helps her a lot. She is starting to stay awake a lot more during the mornings with me. And she loves to smile and laugh. She LOVES her brother! When she sees him in the mornings, she always gives him a big smile. And carson gives her a kiss and a hug. Its really sweet!

Well, we finally did it... Katie is now sleeping in her room and in her crib!! Its taken a lot more adjusting than I thought it was going to be for all of us. I think I sleep less now that she isnt sleeping in our room!! :P It snowed today, I decided to keep the kiddos inside just because they have been sick the past few weeks. If the snow is still there tomorrow I might let carson play in it. Today we all stayed inside, we all had our robes on and socks on and were all very cozy! Katie is going to turn 5 months this week. can you believe it???!!!

She is teething right now, and drooling all over the place. And she is starting to hold her own bottle when she feeds. Carson still adores Katie. He loves to read to her and play with her when she is in her exersaucer.

A is for apple....

Papa suprised us and came to visit and watch the LSU play in the cotton bowl. It was nice to hang out with him. Diana and David bought redid our closet for our christmas present. It is SOOO awesome. The container store is brillant!! I cant believe that the change was even possible!

I've started training for my triathalon...hopefully I will keep at it and see this thing through! It feels good to run again. I started a herb garden too! I always wanted to...we will see what actually grows! :P I'm not much one with a green thumb!!

new year...new beginnings!!

Wow...did 2010 just pass me by or what?? I cant believe its 2011. 2010 was such a good year to remember - Katie was born!! :P and Nin nin at 78 graduated from college! This past Christmas break was such a whirlwind! I love it when all of the family get together to enjoy each others company! I am truly blessed.

THE COUSINS!

The cousins are all getting so big so quickly, I cant believe Nathan has a "girlfriend" hahaha and that Allison is going to be going off to college this fall - that mk is the new leader of the cousins club and how smart michaela and jared are!!

Carson got everything he wanted and more for christmas. It was totally the best christmas...this year Carson believed in santa. It was so cute..and all he asked for was candy. He stayed up for all of midnight mass and until 430am when we all went to sleep! But boy was he in rare form later that day. Katie got sick after christmas, they said that there was a few cases of rsv and since she was already feeling under the weather we decided to keep her home for a week. Man, she was sounding so bad, I felt so sorry for her when she would wake herself up in the middle of the night wheezing and having those awful coughing fits. She is doing better now, that dang cough is still lingering though. For new years, we just stayed in our pj's and rang in the new year with our friends kenneth and angela and carson of course woke up and rang in the new year with us!
