SOOO many milestones!!

So, what can I say... carson swam, and katie took her first steps. Boy, do these kids grow up so fast. I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw it!! This past week has just been amazing for the kids!! katie is doing something new every day, and I love to watch the two kids play together!

this past weekend we went to the museum of nature and science to see the chinasaurs.

We got to go with Nin-nin, papa D, trent, travis, antonio and travis's friend. We ate a picnic and got to play!! The big boys got to go see the imax movie.

Last night, Carson and I stayed up and went to see the fireworks in Frisco. We almost didnt go,but carson was sooo set on really really really wanting to go see it. So, at 930pm we ventured out to find a good spot to see the fireworks. Thankfully my car is an SUV..we hopped the curb and sat on top of the car to watch the fireworks. At first, carson was SCARED, but when he saw other people doing it, he was ok with it. I enjoyed taking him to see the fireworks. It was so beautiful!!

Wow...a week has already passed us by..I cant believe its going to be the 4th of july next week. This year is going by soo fast. This past friday, I went to a banquet where thr gave me a check for $2000 to donate to my charity of my choice..which I chose to give to My friends house here in plano. It was a lot of fun, but we had to slip out before it ended. I went to the red cross training for disasters, I think its time that I get back involved with the red cross. Katie is moving sooo fast, she zooms up the stairs and she loves dancing to music. She has the cutest laugh ever!! Carson is so protective over katie when we go out. He is always loving on her and doesnt want anyone else around her. She is very observant, she will watch carson do something and next thing you know..she is copying what he was doing. One thing she does as well as carson is eat!! This kids are going to eat me out of a house when they get bigger! I love my family! they are so awesome!!! Carson found my different props for my photobooth that I had set up for a birthday. He loves the glasses..hopefully he wont inherit my bad eyesight!!

5 year anniversary

5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY~~~

Wow, Its hard to believe that I have been married for 5 years already!! My parents got us the best anniversary present ever...they agreed to watch both of the kids for the weekend!! Yippee!! Chad and I didnt know what to do without the kids and our conversations revolved around the kids. Of course I couldnt go a day without seeing the kids, I stopped by the house to see them!! We went to the boardwalk and to the casino and to our favorite restaurant..ernests. Chad even ordered a cake from the cakery that made our wedding cake. It was as yummy as I remembered it.

Carson and katie had a great time spending the weekend with thier pou pou and paw paw. I think they adjusted well - thank goodness for a schedule!! Carson just soaked in all the attention he received from them!! I think it wore my mom out though... lol...my mom is a tough gal, but taking care of a baby when you arent used to it can be very tiring!!

Carson is taking swimming lessons, he is doing pretty good..although at first it took the good first half of the session for him to even get in the water. He is practicing blowing bubbles thru his nose, digging and kicking. The teachers are trying to teach him to put his head in the water when he kicks..I asked him how come he didnt look down in the water and he said he didnt have his googles. lol - that boy...and his reasoning...he's got a point!! Sometimes he is so silly..I always say, carson..you're so crazy! and he responds and says..mommy..you crazy too! lol...

And katie...she is crawling like a champ now and cruising on all the furniture, it wont be long before she is walking...i hope she is still crawling when we go on vacation! I can tell she is going to be very independent - I have no doubt that she will be able to stick up for herself against carson!

Katie is getting into everything now that she is mobile!! Those thunder thighs are slimming down and she is crawling like lightning! Last week she started climbing up the stairs and made it to the 3rd step..so it was time to put up the baby gate! It so hard to believe that Katie is 9 and a half months old! She is in the 85th percentile for weight, she weighs 1 pound heavier than carson did at that age but she is slightly shorter. I can feel Katie's bottom teeth coming in, I think there are 2 of them. she hasnt been that fussy with it coming in. She is such a great baby. I love her so much!!

Happy Mothers day!!

Well..sorry for the late post, but we have been really busy! I just wanted to write about our adventures for mothers day!! well, carson was really excited that both pou pou and papa were going to be coming in for mothers day- it just happened to be alexanders and anne marie's first communion and they just happened to be the godparents! So it just worked out.

we were planning to go to the gaylord texas for dinner, but mom had thought it might be a bad idea, so we decided to go to the shops of legacy and eat. We had a great lunch and even ate gelato! it was really yummy! They had a fountain that carson was amazed with, so they walked around it and watch the water fountain shoot high into the sky!

Carson and Katie got me an IPAD 2 for mothers day!! exactly what I wanted!! I have been having a lot of fun playing with it!

Thomas the train!!!
As big of a musical fan as I am...I was so excited when Thomas the train musical came to town. I won 4 tickets to see it and couldnt wait!! Chad had tried taking carson to the movies a few weeks ago which turned out to be a disaster, but I had high hopes for the musical. And sure enough..he did an awesome job!! 90 minutes long and no emotional breakdown!! In fact, he was clapping and singing and smiling so big! Awww...mission accomplished! Hopefully, he will love to watch musicals as much as his mommy does!!

Chad and I volunteered with make a wish foundation, for the Wish Night gala. This is my second year volunteering and Chad's first.

Its always such an emotional night - listening to the kids stories and all of their wishes. It makes me want to get back on one of things on my bucketlist..which is to start a non profit organization!

While we were at Wish night...Carson and Katie stayed the night with their nin nin. Carson spent the night once before, but this was Katie's first night. Supposedly, they did well!

We went to pick the kids up early, a few weeks ago, when I had signed up for a membership at the museum of nature and science I saw they had a special event for members for Sid the Science Kid...so today was the day to see SID!! Carson was so excited, he made me keep the flier on the fridge all this time! Although he was still a little sleepy from the previous night..he had a blast seeing sid (actually he was a little scared), but he had a blast getting his face painted and playing in the childrens museum again. as did katie!!

..I know I know I know...this is a very late entry ( March 28th). But I wanted to include this monumental moment in carson's life. As a prelude, Carson loves candy, actually he loves anything sweet thing he can get his hands on. And although we brush his teeth, we noticed that his two front teeth were blackish in color. Uh oh...so my search for a dentist began. Considering how bad my teeth are, and not quite sure if bad teeth is hereditary..I was thinking he might be visiting the dentist quite often, so I searched for a pediatric dentist. and I am so glad I did. carson did so well during the visit. Not stressed in the very least. And the reason for the black teeth?? They said it was because I took a lot of iron while I was pregnant with him??!!! Well anyways...one visit down...lots more to go!
