new year!!!

Carson had a great time at home with the family. He was chasing them around like he was a big kid! He is so fortunate to have so much family especially one that loves him so much.

The visit to Shreveport was a very short one, but a great one! All the kids are getting so big so quickly!

Our house looks like a disaster zone with all the toys everywhere. He especially loves his leapfrog tag jr books and his zhu zhu hamster which totally scares bruiser to death! Bruiser tore up one of carson's stuffed animals he got for christmas and he was trying to stick bruiser in timeout. it was a cute site. We had a few people over for new years, carson loved hanging out with his friend matthew and especially loved jumping on the air mattress with him and chasing him around the house. The next morning he was looking all over the place for matthew. However, the new year did not start off exactly how we would have liked..I came down with Bells Palsy on the 2nd so have been battling with that for the past few days. Nothing can compare to carsons hugs and him trying to wipe my tears away.It was one of those mommy son moments that I will never forget!

Carson has been trying to talk a lot more lately, I can pick up words every now and then but sometimes he looks like he is so excited about what he is saying that I hate to interrupt him. He keeps getting colds, I think its from his school because all the kids were sick with runny noses. We are starting to get him used to the potty...hopefully he will pick up quickly, but being a new mom..Im clueless on the process. Its been a great 2009, hopefully it will be a better 2010! Happy New year!

Oh gosh, I cant believe that christmas is this friday! Wow, how did this year pass us by so quickly! I cant believe Carson is starting a new year with us! It has been SO busy and I have been literally exhausted trying to get the presents wrapped and preventing carson from opening them!! Carson helped daddy decorate the tree...sometimes he will go over there in the room and sit on the couch and just look at the christmas lights on the tree. Its pretty cute! I started giving carson his christmas presents little by little a few days ago so he could appreciate them a little bit more, I am sure he is going to have a ton of toys for christmas! We went to the gaylord to see the ice exhibit. It was nice,but Carson wasnt all into it and he certainly hated the parkas that we had to wear! Yesterday we went to see the trains at Northpark Mall...he really liked those. He was running around like a madman chasing the trains! Carson cant wait to see everyone for christmas!! we are going home on wednesday night!! That's the best christmas present ever...family!!

halloween!!

Today I was off and Carson and I went to the wiggly playcenter for some great fun! He got to wear his costume and was roaring all over the place! Carson has adapted well to school...he doesnt cry anymore when I drop him off...which is a step in the right direction! We took our christmas and halloween pictures at Jcpenneys last week and needless to say...it was VERY hard with Carson and Bruiser. How do people do it?!! Pou Pou and Grandpa are supposed to come in this weekend to spend it with Carson! We are very excited!

texas state fair!!! Its finally here

Cotton candy, turkey leg, corney dog, and lemonade!!! The state fair is finally here! Today we went to the state fair with our friends Amy, Marvin and Matthew. It was such a nice day although it got hot as the day progressed.

We saw a dog show, the petting zoo and the farm. Carson really liked the little farm...he got to act like he was milking a cow, planting vegetables and feeding hens then collecting eggs. He was all about it, he had a apron and everything.

He also played at the lego booth...he really enjoyed it a lot...I have a feeling he'll be wanting some for christmas!

By 2pm he was pooped and fell asleep in the stroller. What a great day it was!

first day of Montessori

SO, Carson went to his first day of Montessori... it was a BIG adjustment for not only him but for all of us. I teared up when I was leaving...carson was crying for me but I knew he would be ok. Chad said that when he was picking carson up at 11:30am he had just finished lunch and they were trying to put him to sleep...but Carson had OTHER plans...he was screaming his head off. I was so down all day today. Carson took his flu shot today...chad said that the nurse gave it to him in his leg and he didnt even make a noise. How brave is that!!! Carson is really starting to make a lot of sounds and speak in "babytalk". I have a feeling that he's going to be talking soon! I cant believe he is 18 months already...where does the time go? It seems like just a few months ago I was breastfeeding him and Now he is going to school??! He is so independent and fearless.... hopefully that will play to his favor!

disneyland!!!

So, we went to visit Trina in California and we went to Disneyland. Carson and Chad had a blast..it was hard to tell who of the two was having more fun. Carson rode all the rides, but his favorite one was the dumbo ride. He did really well while we were there with keeping with his schedule and he did OK on the plane ride although it was definitely a stressful ride for chad and I. Carson kept wanting to walk in front of our chair so he accidentally hit the chairs in front of us a few times...boy did we get some glares. Carson met Owen in california and they got along well,besides carson taking a BIG bite out of Owen's back. Poor guy!

We made it to Santa Barbara beach and farmers market. Carson got to play in the sand and ride the pony. He had a GREAT day! Carson is getting very independent and stubborn. He wont let us help him with anything and he is FEARLESS. The swine flu is going around pretty quickly...I have been washing Carson's hands all the time when we go out. Hopefully Carson wont catch it...but I am keeping my fingers crossed.
